The challenge
Northwind ran on a decade-old monolith where every catalog change required an engineer. Buyers abandoned slow checkouts and the sales team fielded thousands of manual reorder requests.
Our approach
- Mapped the full ordering workflow with sales, ops, and 12 key accounts.
- Migrated to a headless architecture with a composable catalog service.
- Shipped a self-service reorder portal and a design system to move fast.
The outcome
The new platform cut page loads to a fraction of the old site, automated 70% of reorders, and gave the merchandising team full control without engineering.
